Hi everyone, and welcome to my homepage. Here you can learn more about my interpretation services, professional background, and writing.

Words are my world, both spoken and written.

I began my journey as a conference interpreter in 2015 in Kharkiv, Ukraine. Since then, I’ve had the opportunity to facilitate seamless communication at a wide range of events across Ukraine: delegation visits, hands-on workshops, and high-stakes business and political meetings.

Now based in Berlin, I work across Germany, Europe, and Ukraine — building bridges between people and helping ideas travel clearly across languages.

I believe interpretation is more than just rendering words. It’s about connecting cultures, shaping understanding, and making your message resonate — so that relationships can grow.

As a published fiction author, I also believe in the power of language to connect, move, and inspire.

Simultaneous Interpretation: Real-Time Mode No time lost. No meaning lost.

Simultaneous interpretation is the ideal solution for multilingual events where participants need to stay on the same page — instantly and without disruption. This type of interpreting requires professional equipment and normally a team of two interpreters. It is delivered in real time, ensuring that your message comes through clearly and without delay. It’s a perfect fit for: •  international conferences and summits •  business meetings and negotiations •  lectures, trainings, and workshops •  conventions and general assemblies

Consecutive Interpreting: Clear and Thoughtful Communication

In consecutive interpretation, the speaker talks for a short while, then pauses so the interpreter can repeat the message in another language. This format allows for a natural pace and helps everyone stay focused and connected.
In some cases, it can be done without any equipment. Sometimes, a simple microphone is enough. Consecutive interpreting works well for:
 •  round-table discussions
 •  interviews
 •  site visits and informal meetings
 •  formal stage talks

Online Interpretation

Whether you're joining a virtual conference, a cross-border business meeting, or an international workshop, online interpretation ensures your voice travels clearly across borders, time zones, and languages. Online interpreting works perfectly for: •  International webinars and conferences •  Remote business negotiations •  Online workshops and training sessions •  Virtual legal hearings and depositions •  NGO and governmental meetings •  Hybrid events with multilingual participants

Voice-over

Professional voice-over is essential whenever spoken language needs to convey information clearly, reliably and naturally — especially in contexts where precision, credibility and sensitivity to content matter. Working language is Ukrainian. What I voice:
 •  Documentaries and factual films •  Educational and e-learning content
 •  Institutional and corporate videos
 •  NGO, human rights and advocacy projects
 •  Cultural, literary and artistic content
 •  Podcasts and audio essays
 •  Museum guides, exhibition narrations and audio walks
 •  Audiobooks and literary readings
 •  Explainer videos and presentations

Clients

Daniel Kleinert, former Project Manager at Deutsche Welle Akademie

Anna is a very reliable person and a very focused worker. She always reacted quickly to shifting demands or occurring issues and stayed relaxed and friendly in difficult circumstances. Anna is very accommodating and communicating with her was simply great. I strongly recommend Anna as an interpreter for Ukrainian and English as her translations are quick and flawless. Her ability to create an open and relaxed work atmosphere made my work much easier and more enjoyable for everyone involved.

Dr. Phil Imke Hansen, Vice Executive Director, Libereco - Partnership for Human Rights

We have been delighted with Anna Kolomiitseva's services. Her vocabulary is impressive, and she had no trouble learning the terminology of somatic psychology in a very short time. She has an extraordinary talent for interpreting intelligibly and yet very close to the original. Because of her friendliness, conscientiousness, and flexibility, working with her is pleasant, efficient, and constructive. Without hesitation, we recommend Anna for any interpreting or language-related position.

Dr. h.c. Wolfgang Mössinger, Consul General of the Federal Republic of Germany

The translations from Ukrainian into German are absolutely native-level in terms of precision and richness of language. Ms. Kolomiitseva has always been loyal in all her assignments and has scrupulously observed the required confidentiality. I was able to rely on her completely. Despite her high level of concentration while working as an interpreter, she always remains friendly and calm. I can recommend Ms. Kolomiitseva as an interpreter for topics in the fields of politics, economics, culture, and social work at any time.

Community builder

Community matters to me as much as accuracy and professionalism.
That’s why I’ve been proud to combine my interpreting skills with meaningful initiatives:

  • Volunteer interpreter —

where I also volunteered as an interpreter for Ukrainian refugees, helping them navigate their new realities with dignity and understanding.

  • Active speaker and educator —

regularly invited as a lecturer at Ukrainian universities incl. Kharkiv National Karazin University, sharing real-world insights with the next generation of linguists.

  • Speaker and volunteer at professional events, including UTIC (Ukrainian Translation Industry Conference) in 2013, 2019, 2020, and 2021.

  • In 2019–2020, as part of a volunteer working group, I contributed to the development of ethical standards for the Ukrainian interpreting market.
